Anchored in the Gospel and Moored to the Classics!
I feel that it is important for all of us could be better versed in the Bible, and in all God's revealed word. That is why I love that Moor House Academy's programs are anchored to the whole Gospel of Jesus Christ and are moored to the classics, those inspired writings of mankind. This gives me, my family, moms, homeschool children, and other children using Moor House Academy an easy to use resources that help move us through each of the four standard works. This can all happen before seminary age, so that seminary becomes a second witness.
Power of an Hour- A Four Year LDS Based Curriculum
We could have divided history up into seven dispensations- Adam, Enoch, Noah, Abraham, Moses, Meridian of Time, Fullness of Times, and Millennium. We chose instead to create a four year cycle to dovetail with the four standard works, which moves from past, through the present, and the future. I feel it is important that families take the time to listen to and discuss conference talks, build a Gospel vocabulary, learn about noble people from church history, and memorize scripture mastery verses, as well.
Our Leap into the Love of Learning Class incorporates the Power of an Hour into a cottage school setting.

Thanks for your support and patience.
Although we were elated to finally re-launch the website and the response has been fabulous, things started off a little rocky! The week of the re-launch my business partner, Julia (my oldest daughter), had her computer hard drive die with much of the site information on it. She was the one running all the details of the launch kickoff "Spread the Word" contest. Fortunately, her hard drive information was retrievable, but the hard drive had to be replaced. Even though she has her laptop back and repaired, she still had to reload all the software. Due to events that followed she will not be back for a while.
Julia was due to have her baby on the 5th of May. The last two weeks before the happy event were a little rough. The due date came and went. My birthday came and went. Then on the 9th of May, Julia gave birth to her firstborn son, Alexander, our eighth grandson, tenth grandchild. Then her sister, Jennifer, came from Wisconsin with her family. They came to see the new nephew, to visit family, to attend her brother-in-law's wedding last Saturday, to celebrate family birthdays on Sunday, to see friends, and to have an open house birthday party for her last night. So, my priority attention has been on my family; on my daughters, their families, and my grandchildren.
During this wonderful time of great family events, Julia's husband, Rory, began a new career path. He is the artist that has done such a fabulous job on this website and all the book covers for our downloads. We are so excited for him! This was an awesome opportunity for their family. They will also be moving in two months. So, the next few months will be an intense transition of adding a new one, starting a new career path, and moving!
Needless to say life has been a lovely, blessed, and a whirlwind this last month! Now it is back to work for me and hopefully, some opportunity for rest and family bonding for Julia.
